Another June session I haven’t shared…

Beautiful baby girl. I believe she was 2.5 weeks old.

My favorite shot, and apparently the parents’ too since they went big with this one. How can you resist this precious little face and I just love where her hand is resting.

I love watching baby’s eyelashes come in. This baby’s eyes were so beautiful anyway, but those sweet little lashes… And some tears before a session helps too. It’s like nature’s mascara.

Another favorite of mine. She was quite captivated by the window.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a baby this young hold her head up so well. She wasn’t struggling or quivering from the stress of it. Just held her head up and posed. Not exactly what I thought I’d get when I asked to put her in this position, but it was so awesome to watch.

Thanks to the parents of little Miss “L” for the privilege of capturing your baby girl’s first portraits. She was a joy and I am so happy for you!

I can’t take anymore…

Seriously, just when I thought I couldn’t take any more cuteness from this little one week old, I start working on the last part of the session and well, you can see for yourself…

There is nothing better than to end proofing a session with photos like this because they beg you to finish, even when you are pooped out and a wee bit tired…

I’ve already shared several photos from this session on my regular blog (see here and here), but there weren’t any of just the girls. This is the third time I’ve had the pleasure of photographing them…

The first time, the baby was 3 months old. Now she’s about 1.5 years. Isn’t she such a cutie?

Their older girl reminds me so much of my Emma… Mostly her mannerisms. They are also the same age. I always think of her as a blonde blue-eyed version of Emma. And just like Emma, she really makes you work for the photos!

Here we were having “serious” conversation.

still backtracking on sharing sessions…

I really need to get caught up on sharing my sessions because I have had a blast in the last month photographing some sweet, fun families… I just love my client families. [insert big smile and sigh......]

This family was yet another teacher family from a “certain” school that a “certain” friend of mine use to teach at. This is the sixth booking that has stemmed from my friend in a little over a year. A HUGE compliment to me. For someone to take their photos to work, share them with their co-workers, and then have co-workers excited about having me do photos for them…. I feel honored, grateful, and overwhelmed by this response.

Okay, on to the family…

This is the first time they have truly had family photos taken. Again, I feel honored that I could do this for them. So many of these photos touch my heart. I always treat my sessions with a parent’s heart and hope the end result reflects what I saw that day and what I hoped to capture for the family.

Their sons are gorgeous. You’ve already had a glimpse of their older child up on my blog banner, but here’s another beautiful shot of him.

And the baby… Another set of gorgeous eyes and check out those pouty lips! Beautiful kids I tell ya!

Big brother was such a good sport… You know how those little ones can be, grabby hands and space invaders.

Mom and dad… Yep, this is where the good looks come from. And again, so important to get just mom and dad every once in a while.

My first share on my new blog!

Welcome to Debbie Lee Photography… the blog! So nice to have you here.

It was tough separating out into two blogs for personal and business, but I felt it was something that needed to be done. I’m excited about it actually! I feel like it gives my very special clients a home of their own! I hope this will be a fun place to share session photos as well as post updates about what’s new with Debbie Lee Photography. And lately, there is a lot of “new”… Some of you may have noticed my new website, which is still not finished. I call it “presentable”, but there are lots of unfinished areas that need attention. I also have a new logo, although it hasn’t been “branded” on anything, so to speak, and who knows, we may see new logo, round two! And there’s other new fun stuff coming soon… You’ll have to stay tuned!

To kick off my new blog, I’m back-tracking to my last two sessions in May that have yet to be shared.

This first session was for a dear friend of mine and her husband, who were expecting their first child… Yes, I said “were” because she delivered 10 days ago and I had the honor and pleasure of photographing their newborn daughter this morning. Baby “T” was a perfect little model and Mom and I had a blast. I can’t wait to share those photos. But first, a few from their maternity session:

Aren’t they adorable? It had been a long time since doing a maternity session and it was kind of tough getting back into that saddle again, but I was so pleased with the end result. You’ll also see more from this session in my website portfolio.

My second session that same day was for a family I have had the pleasure of photographing three times now, well, sort of four times…

It all started with this little guy’s newborn session and now here he is at one year:

Is he not adorable or what? He is the cutest little guy and it has been a pleasure photographing him for his first year.

We also took extended family photos that day… Beautiful family, sweet and kind. I truly enjoy spending time with them.
