Here are a few teasers for my good friend. Aren’t her little munchkins just the cutest? And extremely photogenic I might add.

holiday mini sessions at the beach… sneak peek!

Posted on October 27, 2008

I have three very patient families out there waiting for me to post their galleries. Thank you guys for being so patient! Since you still have a few more days of wait time, here’s a few of my favorites to hold you over… Enjoy!

Seeing this first family walk up that day was like meeting up with old friends… I just adore them. I’ve only photographed them once before when their daughter was 6 months old and I’ve been anxiously waiting to see them again.

They are a very special couple and their daughter is like a little light bulb… Absolutely lights up their world. And mine too when I get to see her! I wouldn’t say that this shot is necessarily a holiday card worthy photo but it really spoke to me when I first saw it. It is just sooooo their little girl… Had to share it.

And this next family ARE old friends. Well, at least mom is. My husband and I worked with her in our early days at Disney. Our families crossed paths a few years ago at a pumpkin patch and I have since done a couple photo sessions of her kids. You won’t see mom and dad here, but aren’t these kids adorable?

Their little girl was really into playing in the water… Don’t you love this shot?

No direction from me, this was all her.

And their little boy was much happier up on the sand, AWAY from the water ~

Such good kids and always a pleasure getting to see them. Too bad I can’t bring at least Emma with me to shoots yet… She would have loved to see them again.

My last family are new friends and we had a blast!

Check out this adorable little guy ~

Oh my gosh, he was great. Almost two… Had us all over the place… But literally posed for me. He was running from rock to rock, giving me a few seconds to get a shot, and then was off again to the next rock! Too funny for words but just so wonderful.

Talk about beautiful. And look at that puddin’ face in the middle there. Are they gonna love this shot or what?

This next one is also a new addition to my website homepage slideshow. I loved it so much when I first saw it.

And although you may not be able to tell, mom is preggers with baby boy number 2! Lord help her with all these beautiful boys surrounding her. :)

This was such a fun day for me. I left that day feeling refreshed and happy… and thankful. I never thought I would be doing this. Taking photos for other people. Creating memories in print for them. It makes my heart happy for these families. And going to the beach? Well, I have never been much a beach person and I can’t really say that I am a huge beach person now either. But it holds new meaning for me at this time in my life. Its relaxing and refreshing. Its BEAUTIFUL. And peaceful. I appreciate it in a way that I never have before. And I don’t worry about my hair. Wow, I’ve come a long way baby! :)

a great family session

Posted on October 24, 2008

Were any of you wondering what happened to me? I have been so busy with sessions, proofing, ordering, etc. Not complaining… Never complaining about being too busy, but you know how it is… I have had some awesome sessions as of late. Been terrible about sharing them with you though so I thought I better get crackin’!

The last time I photographed this family their youngest was still in mamma’s belly. How neat it was to come back and photograph them again at this totally different stage in life.

How sweet is she?

And get a load of this cute little guy ~

You know, it was hard getting a natural smile from this little beauty, but when we did, she just lit the place up.

And here, I couldn’t ask for a more perfect expression. Innocence.

One of my favorite shots ~

This was taken at the very end in front of their front gate… I wish we could’ve taken more in this spot, but when we first went outside the light was way too harsh and by the time we came back, the kids were done. One of my favorite shots though.

I am so pleased with these photos. When I first spoke with mom aobut doing this session, she expressed that they thought about doing an outdoor session, but were nervous that their son would just run around wild and maybe inside would be better. Although we got some great shots indoors, I am thrilled with what we got outside. And the kids did great! I just love the colors and the freshness the outdoors brought to these captures.

Hope you enjoyed!

more sweet baby love

Had to share more from this newborn session. This time his parents are getting equal treatment.

One of my favorite mother & baby shots ~

And you can bet this is a proud daddy ~

These last two were taken at the end of our session… I LOVE mom’s expression in the first one. She looks simply radiant and was handling the fussiness with stride. The second one is just so “real” and takes me back to my first days with my own children.

We had something else in mind for these shots, but baby was all done. Can’t blame the little guy. He did SO WELL for almost the entire session. Slept most of the time, right through all the moving and adjusting that we were doing. Such a trooper.

Always an honor and a privelege to be asked to take these once in a lifetime first photos. I definitely got my “fix” for the month and enjoyed every bit of it. :)
