on to the next chapter

I had such a great time with this family of five back in August. Had a bit of everything – energetic two year old, gorgeous teenage girls, a couple celebrating their sixth anniversary and a family that was just so fun and sweet to capture as a whole. I loved every bit of my time spent with them ~

I love this gorgeous photo of mom and her girls… Don’t they look like sisters? ~

The oldest was about a month away at the time from heading off to her first year of college ~

And the youngest was about to start her senior year of highschool ~

Looking back on these photos just makes me so happy because I know how much mom appreciates having them. She commented on it being the last time for family photos (with a sniffle sniffle) because of her oldest heading off to college… Now I wouldn’t say it was the last chance for photos, but I do understand where she’s coming from. It is the beginning of a new chapter, that’s for sure. But an exciting one too.
I wish you the best “K” family! Have a great year girls!

Okay, so my last post promised that I would be posting sneak peeks by the weekend and that was on August 20th! Four weekends have passed and zilch. I was doing so good for awhile there, but this seems to happen to me every year as the holidays approach… I just can’t keep up! And the thing is, I have to put stuff like proofing, posting galleries, and completing orders ahead of the blog. Just so sad.
All the sneak peeks I kept mentioning are no longer that! But I’m going to share the sessions anyway, starting with my last wedding of the summer…

I am fortunate and blessed to get lots of referrals and that’s how my three summer weddings happened. My last wedding was in San Diego (yeah, you can bet my family and I took advantage and made a weekend of it!) and I had such a great time capturing their special day!

The bride was stunning and I LOVED her dress ~

And the groom was nothing short of handsome himself ~

Michelle and Myron, thank you for asking me to capture your wedding day. It was an honor to do for you and a beautiful day to have been a part of. May God bless your marriage and your new life together.
