calendar update for 2011

Hi there!

The calendar has been updated through March 2011. Please click here or go to my calendar button above to view my availability. Email or call to reserve your date.

Newborn clients, and it seems there are a lot of you out there upcoming, please email me with your due date and we’ll go from there in figuring out the best date for tentatively scheduling your newborn session. Remember, it is preferrable to do newborn sessions before baby is two weeks old. I especially prefer 5 to 10 days old. Why? Most babies sleep better through the session and are less fussy. They are cozy and pliable as we position them. Also, around the 2 to 3 week mark, many babies break out with baby acne. Obviously, every baby is different, but these are general guidelines to follow in having a successful newborn session.

2010 calendar update

Oh my goodness, my last post was in November. I don’t even know how to explain that except to say that I’m here, alive and kicking. I just updated my calendar through June so that should help some of you who are trying to decide on dates. Thanks so much for your interest and I look forward to hearing from you!

catching up

I feel absolutely awful for not posting lately… Whenever that happens you can guess that I am super duper busy, and not just slacking, even if it appears that way. I just finished proofing my last wedding from July and now I’m playing catch up, BIG TIME. I have a long “to do list” printed and posted above my computer monitor that I’m desperately trying to work my way through. (I’m totally a list girl and I LOVE being able to cross things off on paper! Makes me feel so much more accomplished that way.) After taking care of client orders, the list includes client sneak peeks, prepping my 2009 holiday cards to post on my website, as well as announcing my holiday mini-session dates. So please please stay tuned for all that good stuff.

And speaking of the holidays, its crazy weird to think about it this early, but that’s what I have my mind on right now… Apparently many others do too because I’ve already booked for the rest of the year. I do have some mini sessions coming up, but I don’t have any more regular sessions available. And it happened lickety-split!

Okay, better get back to work. I promise to be back by the weekend with some sneak peeks! Take care!

2009 calendar updated through summer

Just a quick note to let you know I finally updated my calendar to reflect availability through September 2009. My husband and I are still trying to figure out a small vacation period for us, and we’ll work it out soon. But I’ve had quite a few requests for summer availability and I figured I better get on it! I look forward to hearing from you!

I anticipate another busy fall and holiday season… I’m not there yet guys, but I’ll work out my availability by the end of July. I’m not ready to think about Christmas yet. Can you blame me? I tried holiday mini sessions last year and I thought they worked out very well. Anyone interested this year? Any requests for locations? Just curious.

On another note, I’m not sure if my comment feature is not working or if you guys are just really quiet out there… Yep, I’m asking for someone to please leave me a comment so I can check that out. Thanks!

scheduling updates and a wedding

So this is what I did last week:

Yep, my first official wedding. I can’t say that I really want to go down the path of weddings quite yet, but I’ll admit it was a bit fun. Stressful. Tiring. But a fun challenge.

And I SO enjoy the bride and groom which made the whole experience more meaningful to me.

Aren’t you just dying to see these two in focus? They are GORGEOUS.

Haven’t even begun to proof these yet. Just trying to get caught up with orders and scheduling for the holiday season. Also have to give a shout out here to my good friend Paige for helping me out on the day of the wedding. I have had several people ask how the wedding went and when I tell them how helpful Paige was to me, the first thing that comes to mind is how she truly kept me grounded. I don’t know what I would have done without her there. She kept me moving along in a very calm, “don’t freak out” way. I’m so grateful.

Print Orders:
If you are waiting for an order or waiting to hear back from me regarding your order or storyboards, etc., I’m working on all of the above. That’s what I’ll be doing for the rest of the week. You should hear back from me very soon. If you don’t hear back from me by Friday, please email me. I’m trying so hard to keep up with all the emails…

Holiday Scheduling:
I also just sent out an email to all my clients regarding holiday scheduling. I have very few regular session openings left for the remainder of the year, but I do have quite a few openings available for my holiday mini-sessions in October and November. If you are thinking about booking with me for the holiday season and would like more information please send me an email.
