july wedding

Okay, so my last post promised that I would be posting sneak peeks by the weekend and that was on August 20th! Four weekends have passed and zilch. I was doing so good for awhile there, but this seems to happen to me every year as the holidays approach… I just can’t keep up! And the thing is, I have to put stuff like proofing, posting galleries, and completing orders ahead of the blog. Just so sad.
All the sneak peeks I kept mentioning are no longer that! But I’m going to share the sessions anyway, starting with my last wedding of the summer…

I am fortunate and blessed to get lots of referrals and that’s how my three summer weddings happened. My last wedding was in San Diego (yeah, you can bet my family and I took advantage and made a weekend of it!) and I had such a great time capturing their special day!

The bride was stunning and I LOVED her dress ~

And the groom was nothing short of handsome himself ~

Michelle and Myron, thank you for asking me to capture your wedding day. It was an honor to do for you and a beautiful day to have been a part of. May God bless your marriage and your new life together.

Tara & Charles…

are less than a day away from seeing their online gallery for the first time. I can’t wait for them to see all of the captured memories we have of their beautiful wedding day. But because I know I’m going to run out of steam tonight and not finish the last bit from their reception, I want to give them a little something to hold them over till Monday night. ~

I seriously held back because although these all rank in my favorites, there are so many more that I LOVE as well.
Until next time…
wedding day – part II

Finally, part two of the wedding pics – the second half of the day…
I am so happy with this family shot ~
Yeah, there was some SERIOUS dancing going on there ~
This was such a great opportunity for me. As some of you may know, weddings are not my thing. And its not that I have done so many and decided it wasn’t my thing, but more that I didn’t feel ready. This couple had faith in me though and I am so grateful that they asked me to do this. I am very happy with the results. Not to say that I am not bummed by all the shots I feel I missed… But it was a great starting point for me. When I look at the photos as a whole, I feel like their wedding day was well documented and that makes me very happy.
It really was a beautiful day. This is a very special couple and I wish them the very best. May God richly bless their marriage and their family, always.

wedding day – part I
Posted on September 8, 2008
Still working on these wedding photos, but getting closer so yeaaa! I really am very happy with how they are coming out and I hope the bride and groom will be too. To hold them over a bit, I thought I’d share some from the first half of the day and then when I’m done I’ll post some more.
Can you tell they are sisters? Such beautiful girls…
I am so happy with the photos I got of both mom and dad with their little girl. She’s a doll. Seriously beautiful people here…
Have you ever seen the sand ceremony before, opposed to doing the traditional unity candle lighting ceremony? My sister did this as well, but I thought this was truly beautiful since all three, mom, daughter and dad added to the jar.
Stay tuned for more!
scheduling updates and a wedding

So this is what I did last week:
Yep, my first official wedding. I can’t say that I really want to go down the path of weddings quite yet, but I’ll admit it was a bit fun. Stressful. Tiring. But a fun challenge.
And I SO enjoy the bride and groom which made the whole experience more meaningful to me.
Aren’t you just dying to see these two in focus? They are GORGEOUS.
Haven’t even begun to proof these yet. Just trying to get caught up with orders and scheduling for the holiday season. Also have to give a shout out here to my good friend Paige for helping me out on the day of the wedding. I have had several people ask how the wedding went and when I tell them how helpful Paige was to me, the first thing that comes to mind is how she truly kept me grounded. I don’t know what I would have done without her there. She kept me moving along in a very calm, “don’t freak out” way. I’m so grateful.
Print Orders:
If you are waiting for an order or waiting to hear back from me regarding your order or storyboards, etc., I’m working on all of the above. That’s what I’ll be doing for the rest of the week. You should hear back from me very soon. If you don’t hear back from me by Friday, please email me. I’m trying so hard to keep up with all the emails…
Holiday Scheduling:
I also just sent out an email to all my clients regarding holiday scheduling. I have very few regular session openings left for the remainder of the year, but I do have quite a few openings available for my holiday mini-sessions in October and November. If you are thinking about booking with me for the holiday season and would like more information please send me an email.
Well, better get back to work! Have a great rest of the week!
